Hanna Summers embarked on her academic journey by earning a bachelor’s degree in science from Longwood University. Her career began as a scientist at Pharmaceutical Product Development. Outside of work, Hanna pursued her passion for healthcare by becoming certified as an EMT. Driven by a desire to expand her medical expertise, Hanna graduated from Emory Henry University as part of its inaugural class with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in 2019.
She then launched her clinical career with two years in oncology/hematology and then transitioning to a role as a nocturnist at Chippenham and Johnston Willis Hospital for three years. Hanna is thrilled to join Gastrointestinal Specialists, where she brings a wealth of knowledge in gastrointestinal health from her previous positions.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Hanna finds fulfillment in exploring the world through travel, hiking, enjoying live music at concerts, and trying new restaurants with her husband and two boys.
