Stephanie Marcum is an experienced Physician Assistant dedicated to
building trusting relationships with her patients while providing
high quality patient-centered care. Stephanie works collaboratively
with the attending physicians while caring for patients throughout
their hospitalizations, as well as in the office for routine and
urgent visits. “My goal is to always advocate for my patients’ needs,
and to make each person feel safe and heard, every time. My patients
can trust that I will do my best to create a treatment plan that is
specific to your unique needs in order to achieve the goals we set together.
Stephanie is a proud graduate of Wake Forest University, receiving a
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science and minor
in Biology. Continuing her journey in Winston-Salem at Wake Forest
School of Medicine, Stephanie earned a Master’s degree in Physician
Assistant Studies in 2014. As a Maryland native, she moved to
Richmond after finishing her training to be closer to home. The next
four years were spent gaining incredible experience working in Emergency Medicine.
Looking to build on her experience, and recruited heavily by a
growing surgical service, Stephanie then spent the next two years
working in General Surgery/Trauma/Critical Care before joining
Stephanie is an active member of the American Academy of Physician
Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She
maintains current certification from the National Commission on
Certification of Physician Assistants.
Richmond, Virginia has warmly welcomed Stephanie to the area and she
is proud to call Westover Hills her home. Outside of work, you can
find Stephanie playing with her silly English Bulldog, working on a
DIY project, or exploring a new restaurant in the city.
